when i listen to music, it is usually in streaks. i will get into a certain band or genre, then completely saturate my ears with that sound for days, weeks or months. typically, my current musical taste is the zeitgeist of my current mood or bearing. right now, i am in the doldrums of a grey winter. there's a wet cold outside right now that is deceiving. when you get outside, you realize its not as cold as you anticipated, so you overcompensate in the other direction and try to tell yourself that its not so bad. some minutes later, you feel like you are cold from the inside out, the bones chilling the flesh and muscle. i am not working right now, so the days are spent in solitude, locked inside my head. here's what has been on repeat for some time now:

- Frank Zappa, primarily Overnite Sensation, Apostrophe, and Hot Rats
